The UK treats EU countries as safe destinations for personal data, and the EU renewed its decision that the UK is safe until 27 December 2031. Records can move both ways lawfully.

How to bring your NHS records
Ask your UK GP practice for a copy of your record (a free subject access request, normally answered within a month) or download it from the NHS App. Bring it on paper, PDF or email. We add it to your file with your consent.
Health data is protected here
The clinic follows the EU GDPR and Spain's data protection law (LOPDGDD). Health information is a special category of data: used only for your care, never sold, kept as Spanish law requires.
Your rights stay yours
You can ask to see, correct, export or limit the use of your data at any time, and complain to the Spanish regulator (aepd.es). Any software supplier works under a written data processing agreement.
